Molecular Dog sculpture

This molecular dog sculpture combines my love of dogs and science.
Location: Shady Park in Winter Park
Artist: Robert Chambers

He designed a 5 foot tall bronze dog that is in fact the 3 carbon molecule for propane. The propane compound is 3 carbon and 8 hydrogen molecules. The artist is a believer in liquefied petroleum gas (clean, colorless, odorless and less expensive than gasoline). The molecular dog was his way to call attention to it’s environmental friendly qualities. ⚛️

Full disclosure: My son was with me. He got on the sculpture and rode it like a horse. LOL 🤦
