Bird Ambassadors

We saw the awesome bird ambassadors from Audubon Center for Birds of Prey at the Winter Springs Wild Birds Unlimited store last weekend. I gasped when I saw them. We got to see a small owl, a large barred owl and a red tailed hawk up close.I’ve been to the Audubon Center for Birds of Prey in Maitland many times and seeing the birds up close never gets old. πŸ¦… πŸ¦‰ The Center rehabilitates injured birds and frees them back into the wild if possible. The birds that are unable live in the wild again (such as missing an eye) turn into bird ambassadors.I have both hawks and barred owls in my neighborhood. I hear the barred owl’s call at night in my back yard. Birds of prey are so majestic yet fierce. The hawk’s wingspan is huge! They can take out a drone no problem. Hawks are also trained to keep away bird pests at businesses. I could talk all day about them. I’m a bird of prey nerd.
